Welcome to
Franklin County High School AFJROTC
TN-20061
Franklin County High School offers an Air Force Jr. Reserve Officer Training Corps. In this two part course cadets will learn Aero Space Science, which is taught by Colonel Martin Peavyhouse and Leadership, which MSgt Jodi Noe teaches.
The objective off AFJROTC is to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship, promote community service, instill responsibility, character, and self-discipline, and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals.
The AFJROTC program is grounded in the Air Force core values of integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. The curriculum emphasizes the Air Force heritage and traditions, the development of flight, applied flight sciences, military aerospace policies, and space exploration.
Cadets who join AFJROTC are not required to join the military. However if a cadet does decide he or she wants to serve their county, 3 credits of JROTC will give them a higher rank in the military. The Air Force, Army, and Navy offer an E3 rank after basic and the Marine Corps offers an E2 rank.
If you are a middle school student and are a bit scared of transitioning into high school, come join our Corps. The close brotherhood we have makes everyone feel welcome. It not only teaches Leadership and Aero Space Science but it is more like a support group were cadets come when they are having a bad day and the other cadets discuss the positives and negatives and options that can solve their problems. We have a lot of fun here, it makes the everyday stress of being a teenager go away.
Also if you are underclassman wanting to get involved in extra curricular activities come join our Color Guard, Drill Team, or Physical Training Team we would love to have you.
